MY MISSION

At Changing Light Bulbs Counseling, I draw inspiration from every individual’s unique journey and the transformative power of insight. Grounded in fairness and authenticity, my mission is to illuminate the path toward mental wellness—challenging stigma, celebrating resilience, and offering guidance and support as you navigate life’s complexities. I’m here to spark hope, foster genuine connection, and share the expertise that helps you discover your inner light.

How many therapists does it take to change a light bulb?

Just one, but the light bulb has to want to change.

The Light Bulb Lab: Illuminate Your Life

Ever wish you could test-drive a new “light bulb” (a fresh perspective, habit, or mindset) before committing to it? Welcome to The Light Bulb Lab, our experimental corner where we mix a dash of curiosity with a sprinkle of fun—all in the name of self-discovery. Here’s what you’ll find:

DIY “Bright Ideas” Toolkit

  • Micro-Challenge of the Week: Try tiny, doable challenges—like speaking kindly to yourself once a day or jotting down an “unexpected victory” before bed.

  • Flashlight Check: A quick, guided reflection for those “Wait, why am I doing this again?” moments.

The “Switch It Up” Experiment

  • Choose a Routine to Break: Swap your morning coffee for tea, take a new route to work, or write your to-do list backward—anything to jolt your brain out of autopilot.
  • Reflect & Record:  Did it spark new insights about how you handle change?

Brainstorm Bingo

Make a Bingo Card with self-care items like “took a 10-minute walk,” “texted a friend,” or “practiced 3 deep breaths.” Check them off as you go, and shout “Bingo!” when you complete a row.

Curiosity Killed the Cat (But Satisfaction Brought It Back)

  • Ask a Weird Question: “What’s one small thing that secretly makes me happy?” “If I could redesign the day, what would it look like?”

  • Explore the Answers: You might just discover unexpected passions or find hidden blocks you didn’t know existed.

Curiosity Killed the Cat (But Satisfaction Brought It Back)

Think of these experiments as fun, no-pressure ways to test-drive new habits. Some might brighten your outlook instantly; others might flicker before they catch hold. In The Light Bulb Lab, there’s no such thing as failure—only learning opportunities and the freedom to try again with fresh ideas.

Remember: You’re the fearless explorer, and I’m the friendly guide standing by with the metaphorical flashlight. If you ever need extra help adjusting the wattage or screwing in a new bulb, my door (and inbox) is always open!
